Trumid wanted to build their all-to-all credit trading platform to market with modern, accessible design. That’s where we came in.
THE DETAILS
Along with their user-facing platform, Trumid also needed administrative tools for their client services and operations teams. These tools would play an integral role in monitoring activity and ensuring the client experience would meet the firm’s rigorous standards.
THE CHALLENGE
To complete the comprehensive, unique internal and user facing UI, our team was given a tight timeline of seven months to strategize, build, test, implement, and release the new system live to the public.
THE APPROACH
In order to achieve the first-rate deliverables on time, our team knew we’d need to take an agile yet full force approach to the work. This meant quickly and thoroughly implementing the project requirements by iterating daily, often with teams across the globe, to find a state of the art solution that didn’t cut any corners.
THE INSIGHT
Successfully existing in the modern FinTech space means having a functional application driven by familiar design. This meant that despite the sophistication of Trumid’s product, we knew it was important to create an interface that turned complex workflows into seamless experiences – leaving no risks and establishing trust with users through straightforward, accessible design.
THE PROCESS
From the very beginning, we iterated on various design solutions, eventually narrowing the path to land on an approach that felt both innovative and familiar, and delivered upon the task of creating a seamless user experience. Throughout the design process, we worked hand in hand with our client’s cross functional stakeholders, including Trumid’s backend engineering team, and to deliver a UI that was not only objectively functional, but modern and brand-forward.
The DELIVERY
We embedded into the client's engineering team to design and build the new front end in HTML5, fully integrated with APIs developed by Trumid's backend engineering team.
The application supports order entry and real-time trading, streaming market data, and desktop notifications, among other key functions. We also delivered internal applications allowing Trumid to monitor trade activity, create custom reports, manage client accounts, and reconcile trade data.
